What do I do if I disagree with FastEstimate’s recommendation?

If you don’t agree with what FastEstimate is recommending for a claim, you have a couple of paths:

• Pick a different option. Scroll past the “Recommended” section to see additional options (for example, Replace Roof, Repair Individual Shingles, or Create Zero Cost Scope) and select the one that better fits the claim.
• Customize your own scope. Use the “Customize Your Scope” option to mix repair and replacement strategies, change quantities, and choose specific components.

Your override is saved in the “Your Scope” panel on the right and flows through to your final Xactimate estimate just like a recommended choice would.
